Pay day has arrived and off shopping I go..I had a genuine reason to though – I picked up this Leather Look Sleeve Biker Blazer LAST pay day (beginning of August) and just had to look for a suitable outfit to go with it! Yes yes I’m aware I need to reevaluate my needs and wants…
Anyways, last month my eyes lit up when I spotted this blazer with leather sleeves in the tiniest corner of River Island – I’m obsessed with Blazers lately and a big fan of leather look items so this one excited me! A week later and I saw it pride of place in the middle of the store being showcased as a featured buy ‘Perfect Picks’ so I’m glad I picked it up when I did! It was €75 and a versatile piece so the price tag suited fine.
I always forget to venture into Topshop when shopping mostly because it’s hidden in House of Fraser in Dundrum and for some reason I ALWAYS forget the one that’s in Blackrock, I’m such a creature of habit so I need to start venturing away from my normal shopping route..!
It was definitely fate that I went in this time around because I fell in love with so many things, first that caught my eye was this pair of dark washed Ripped Jamie Jeans, I’ve been looking for ripped jeans that didn’t look tacky for a while now I just felt the ripped style was a little too young for me, but these ones did not look like that at all..AND THE COMFORT – the selling point!! They are high waisted and skinny fit – but with stretchy material so do not feel glued on, it was game over after I tried them on. These were priced at €65, online they are priced at £42 but by the time they arrive in an Irish store they gain a few dollah! I can never buy trousers online though I’m always too scared!
Next up was a simple Scooped Neck Vest to go with both the trousers and the jacket – I love these tops, I had picked up a similar version in Black months ago in Penneys and loved it but haven’t been able to find anything with a similar fit in an alternative colour anywhere but this cream version was perfect – albeit double the price of Penneys at €27! I love tops that are slightly longer at the back than the front and are loose fitting that make you feel comfortable without making you look massive.
I’m heading to a haunted house adventure tour later with Tapas afterwards so comfort and style is key and this outfit is perfect for that! Teamed with my Mi Moneda chain of course, and my comfy brogues from Penneys / Primark!
Any other gems I have missed in Topshop? Next on my agenda is the perfect Topshop blazer! I did spy a gorgeous white one with a Zip in there recently- NEED! x
