Clean Mars Bars

Highly highly requested recipe from my Snapchat so here it is – some tasty Clean Mars Bars! Thanks to you all for your snaps of your recreations of these, it’s so lovely to see and I’m glad you’re enjoying my recipes!

I’ll post these in the private Facebook Group too that I created called The Clean Kitchen! I set this page up for us all as a way to share recipes, tips and insights with each other. This way we can all support and motivate each other on our clean eating journey, making it that bit easier!

  • 1 Cup Almonds
  • 2 tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 2 tbsp Agave
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract


  • 25 Medjool Dates
  • 2 tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Almond Butter
  • 1 tbsp Almond Milk


  • 1 tbsp Agave
  • 2 tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1 tbsp Cacao Powder

The above is my go to recipe of choice but I sometimes mix it up a bit depending on the ingredients I have to hand! I sometimes use Maple Syrup or Honey instead of Agave, Cashews instead of Almonds, Peanut Butter instead of Almond Butter, or replace the entire of the Topping with melted Dark Chocolate instead! I sometimes add a sprinkling of Himalayan Pink Salt too if I want a subtle Salted Caramel filling. The Topping you can make thicker if you wish my doubling the ingredients, the above just makes a thin layer but it depends on your preference!

If you want to turn the Mars bar into a Snickers bar you could lightly blitz some peanuts and put it into the mix to make it crunchy!

  • Blend together the Base ingredients and lay it out on the bottom of the tray, pop into freezer for a few mins whilst you work on the Caramel filling
  • Blend together the Filling ingredients to make a caramel type sticky substance and spread on top of the base layer and then place back in the freezer whilst you prepare the Topping
  • Blend together the Topping ingredients and spread on top! Be mindful though that due to the bottom layers being in the freezer prior to this that as soon as the Topping hits it it will harden fairly quickly so spread it straight away!

It’s that easy. If you manage not to eat it all straight away then store it in the fridge! Best of luck with it lasting longer than a day though – it’s delish!
